MARIANA CHERKAS

Articling Student

Mariana is an articling student at M&H for the 2022 articling term.

Mariana graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Master’s in Canadian Common Law (LL.M).  During her LL.M degree Mariana worked as a legal assistant at one of Canada’s largest law firms, where she was exposed to a broad range of practice areas, including expropriation, land use planning, civil and commercial litigation.

Mariana earned her Bachelor of Laws in Criminal Prosecution from one of Ukraine’s top law schools, where she graduated with distinction and was awarded a scholarship for academic excellence.

Prior to law school and obtaining her Master’s degree, Mariana worked in the tourism industry.

Mariana is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian languages.

In her spare time, Mariana enjoys hiking/running, skiing/skating, cooking and baking.
